What you learn outside the classroom can also make the difference. If you’ve ever participated in a volunteer experience or youth such as those offered by the project Action4Climate, you’ve probably experienced learning that go beyond the theory. But, how do we show all of this on our profile? Here comes into play the Youthpass.
Much more than a certificate
In the field of non-formal education, the certificate, Youthpass has established itself as a key tool to supplement the curriculum. This certificate is driven by the European Commission within the programmes Erasmus + and European Corps of Solidarity (ESC), and also to prove the participation in youth activities, training or social, puts in value the personal and professional skills developed through them.
The Youthpass is the result of a process of reflection on learning. Your goal is to recognize and identify what each participant has learned, how they have learned and how you can apply that knowledge in your personal life, professional or community.
Along experiences such as volunteering, youth exchanges or international ensembles such as the Action4Climate, young people acquire skills that are often not reflected in the academic qualifications: leadership, cross-cultural communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, or environmental awareness. The Youthpass helps to recognize and express these skills in a clear and structured manner, based on the eight key competences of the European Union for lifelong learning.
In a labour market increasingly competitive, this certificate becomes a valuable tool to highlight the transferable skills that companies and organizations value the most: initiative, adaptability, critical thinking, social responsibility, or ability of continuous learning. It not only shows that a person has participated in a project, but have you learned from it, has reflected on her role in the society and has developed skills that will prepare you for the challenges of the future.
A useful resource for your professional future
The certificate, Youthpass, recognized in Europe, can be easily incorporated to the curriculum vitae as a concrete evidence of acquired skills in an international context or community. In a job interview or selection process, you can mark the difference; it already shows the ability to learn in any environment, working with people from different cultures and engage with real causes. More than a certificate, it is a way of showing that the growth, contribution, impact, and the acquisition of skills that only ‘learn by doing’.
Youthpass and Action4Climate: learn how to transform
In the project Action4Climate, the certificate, Youthpass charges an even deeper meaning. This environmental initiative seeks to promote knowledge, action, and entrepreneurship to address climate change, promoting solutions transformative based on open data and evidence.
In this initiative for people 18-35 years, through formations online free, develops both ecological awareness, as practical skills to generate impact on the environment. It is an opportunity to learn about sustainability, leadership, disclosure, and critical thinking while designing local actions with global outreach through open educational resources available.
At the end of each session, you will receive a certificate, Youthpass as recognition of learning and commitment to the planet. In this way, Action4Climate becomes a space where personal growth is joined to the collective action, and where each certificate represents a story of learning, and consciousness and transformation. A story that, in addition, may be displayed, shared and open new opportunities.
